Materials required:<\/strong> size 21 (0.80 mm) knitting needles, 28 yards\/25 metres<\/p>\n

of 1-ply wool in main colour, 1 yard\/metre 1-ply wool in red or dark pink for tongue, small amount of stuffing (polyester filling, kapok or cotton wool-DO NOT use cotton wool if you intend to wash the poodle!), small amount of black wool for embroidering nose and eyes, scrap of ribbon for bow (optional).<\/p>\n

These toilet roll covers were popular in the 1960\u2019s and 1970\u2019s<\/p>\n

Finished size – <\/strong>approx. \u00be-inch\/2 cm tall by \u00bd-inch\/1.5 cm wide<\/p>\n

Gauge \u2013<\/strong> Gauge is not important for this project as you can make it stretch to fit a miniature toilet roll.<\/p>\n
