Yardages given below.

This can be made for either a single or double bed.
For example: a double bedspread of 6-foot/1.2 metres by 8-foot/7.38 metres would require 315 squares (giving a finished size of 5-foot/4.6 metres by 7-foot i.e. 15 squares by 21 squares), plus edging to make the finished size.

Gauge and materials required:
Squares: Each square knits up at 4-inches/10 cm square using this yarn and needle size. (Approx 30 x 50 g balls required for 315 squares) balls

Edging version 1 (with leaves) knitted on these needles and with this yarn works out at 7-inches/18 cm deep and each repeat is 5-inches/12.5 cm. Each repeat of edging pattern uses 45 yards/41.5 metres of yarn. One repeat of edging (if slightly stretched) would edge 2 squares, but extra length would be required at corners. Approx 14 x 50 g balls would be required for a double bed edging

Edging version 2 (plain ruffles) knitted on these needles and with this yarn is 4½-inches/11 cm deep and each repeat is approx ¾-inch/2 cm wide, – 6 pattern repeats will be required to edge each square. Each 8 row pattern repeat requires 4 yards/3.6 metres of yarn, so 6 pattern repeats for a square would require 24 yards/22 metres of yarn, but extra length would be required at corners.

To work top edge of bedspread:
Work as follows NOT as written in 1:12th scale version of the pattern:
Cast on 5 sts, work in gst (every row k) until the strip is long enough (when slightly stretched) to edge the top of the bedspread.
