\nFishermen’s ganseys have been knitted since Elizabethan times by the fianc\u00e9es of fishermen as wedding shirts. Many patterns are regional and this is reflected in the patterns offered from the Traditional Channel Islands Guernseys to Scottish Island ganseys. Ganseys today are worn in place of a normal sweater or jumper.<\/p>\n

Materials required: <\/strong>size 19 (1.00 mm\/US size 5\/0) knitting needles, 67 yards\/62.5 metres 1-ply wool, 2 stitch holders.<\/p>\n

Finished size:<\/strong> approx 2\u00bd-inches\/6 cm tall by 1\u00be-inches\/4 cm wide<\/p>\n

Gauge:<\/strong> This is not important as dolls house dolls vary in size<\/p>\n
