It is a very simple task to knit a ‘pair of socks’ to go on a male doll which has moulded boots or shoes, as shown in the photo above which was kindly sent to us by Angelika in Germany. (The ‘socks’ were knitted by Frances.)<\/p>\n

To make a pair of ‘socks’ you will require a small amount of 1-ply yarn and a pair of size 19 knitting needles.<\/p>\n

Cast on 24 stitches and work as follows:
\nRows 1-12: <\/strong>(knit 1, purl 1) to end
\nCast off in pattern.<\/p>\n

Put the knitting around the foot just above the boot or shoe and carefully sew the back seam together. Sew in all loose ends and then turn the top half of the ‘sock’ down over the bottom half to cover the top of the boot or shoe as seen in the photo below:<\/p>\n
