March is a busy time in sport and leads into an action packed summer for sports fans<\/strong><\/a>. <\/p>\n

For cricket<\/strong><\/a> fans the cricket world cup concludes on 29th March with the final in Melbourne. Then in England the annual county cricket season starts on 12th April. An event often noted for the cold weather and thick cricket sweaters rather than cavalier cricket shots! For those who like their cricket a little warmer England begin their tour of the West Indies a day later. By the middle of May the national team have returned to England to face New Zealand. In July New Zealand are replaced by Australia for the Ashes series. Not to be outdone by the men the women\u2019s Ashes series runs in parallel.<\/p>\n

For football fans<\/strong><\/a> the final games of the 2014\/15 season of English Premier League games conclude on 24th May. The following day the last remaining team hopeful of promotion to the top division is decided by a play off game at Wembley stadium. This really is a winner takes all game with the prestige and let\u2019s not forget the money going to the victors. Then on 30th May it\u2019s the FA Cup final where Wembley stadium will be a sea of colours held aloft by each teams supporters. If you thought that was it for the summer then there are still to be played in June\/July the Champions League final, Berlin, Women’s World Cup, Canada and Copa America, Chile. Before you know it it\u2019s August and it all starts again!

March sees the Six Nations Rugby<\/strong><\/a> played finishing on 21st March. As the Rugby Union seasons reaches it\u2019s end on 30th May with the Premiership final at Twickenham it\u2019s stable mate Rugby League carries on until August 29th Challenge Cup final, at Wembley. Then it\u2019s back to the Union form of the game for the Rugby World Cup on 18th September with the final on 31st October. Rugby shirts are gaining popularity as leisure wear much like their football counterparts.<\/p>\n

If you like your sport with a little less huff and puff then a summer of golf<\/strong><\/a> maybe for you. The US Masters gets underway on 9th April at Augusta, Georgia with the PGA Championship at Wentworth in May. The US Open follows in June with the British Open in July. Again fashion plays it\u2019s part but maybe a little less so than in years gone by where \u2018Plus fours\u2019 (trousers that extend 4 inches (10 cm) below the knee) and argyle socks were the norm for golfers.<\/p>\n
