Materials required
\nFor ALL versions:<\/strong> one pair of size 2.00 mm knitting needles; 5 metres\/6 yards No. 10 crochet cotton in white for collar. PLUS<\/strong>
\nPlain shirt \u2013 <\/strong>75 metres\/82 yards No. 10 crochet cotton.
\nStriped or Quartered shirt \u2013<\/strong> 40 metres\/43 yards in each of TWO colours No. 10 crochet cotton<\/p>\n

Approximate finished size of shirt:
\nNeck to hem –<\/strong> 10 cm\/4-inches; Sleeve length \u2013<\/strong> 9 cm\/3\u00bd-inches; Width across chest –<\/strong> 7.5 cm\/3-inches.<\/p>\n

Gauge \u2013 <\/strong>14 rows and 12 stitches = 2.5 cm\/1-inch<\/p>\n

Notes: <\/strong>
\n1.\tThis shirt has been made without buttonholes at the neck, as Rugby shirts are usually worn open. Matching up buttonholes on the neck placket to the main garment is not easy in this scale, on full size rugby shirts the buttonholes are usually worked after completion through both thicknesses of material.
\n2.\tThe rugby shirts may be made longer if required by working extra rows after row 6, remembering to add the same number of rows on BOTH the back and the front of the shirt. Extra yarn may be required.<\/p>\n
