Due to recent security measures put in place by banks some overseas customers may experience problems with credit card payments, especially if they have not cleared their card for use overseas.

If you wish to order from our web shop please note:

Many of our items are One of a Kind and are ONLY available to order if reserved through our web shop. If you send us an order for one of these items by post you may not receive the order if someone has purchased it through the web shop first. Web shop orders will take priority as customers have already paid for the item. So if the item you wish to order has only ONE in stock please e-mail or phone (during office hours) so as we can reserve it for you, otherwise you may NOT get the item you want.

If you wish to order an item the best way is through the web shop, you can opt to print the order form and send a cheque (UK banks only) if you do not wish to use credit cards online, although by doing this the item is not reserved until we manually remove it from the web shop and someone else may still buy the item you want before we can do this.

We ship worldwide to places like the USA, Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, South Africa and most countries in Europe. So do not be put off ordering if you live outside of the UK.

The Catalogue contains only a small proportion of the items we offer:1/12th and 1/24th Scale Knitting and Crochet Patterns, a few yarns, knitting needles and crochet hooks, plus kits and some of the accessories produced by Buttercup Miniatures. Other accessories, kits and ready made items are only available to order via our web shop.

All items in the catalogue are shown on the web shop.

Europe and BFPO Nos.: £ 2.50 (including postage).
Rest of the World: £ 4.00 (including postage)
Overseas customers please send a cheque in Pounds Sterling drawn on a UK bank or telephone card details to us during office hours (9am-5pm [UK local time] Mon-Fri Only).
NOTE:
We can only accept cheques drawn on a UK bank, please do NOT send foreign bank notes as we are unable to cash these. We accept Visa and Mastercard.

2. Purchase Online

PLEASE NOTE: If you registered as a customer with our old web shop (prior to January 2007), you will need to re-register to use this web shop, as we were unable to transfer customer information from one web shop to the other.

Ordering information
To make a purchase from our web shop, just browse our web shop, and click on any items that you wish to buy. Select the quantity and put them into the shopping basket. If you change your mind, you can click on Shopping cart edit basket in top right of screen and change or delete items.

You will be given a summary of the items in your basket each time you add an item to your basket, you can change the number of items ordered or remove items ordered at this point.

Please check your order carefully BEFORE you proceed, for example whether you really do require 6 of the same pattern, as  you will pay for and we will send exactly what you order. Once payment has been made by card we are unable to ADD items to your order, as we do not have access to your card details.

When you are satisfied with the order press the RED continue button. Now you have finished shopping you will be asked to enter your e-mail address and password (these are both case sensitive, so if you typed it in originally all in UPPER CASE you must do so again). If you forget your password a new temporary one can be issued which you can later change following the instructions.

When you proceed to checkout you will be asked for a few details, so we can satisfy the order. Then choose either to pay by secure online payment (Credit card in the Payment Method box) or drop the box down to read Mail order form if you prefer to post your order or telephone card details through to us. Print the mail order form and send it by mail with your cheque (in Pounds Sterling-UK banks only).
(NOTE: Alternatively you may telephone payment card details through during office hours of 9am-5pm [UK local time]  Mon-Fri ONLY) if preferred to online card payment, please have order number to hand when you do this.

Goods ordered by mail order will be reserved for 10 days awaiting payment. If payment is not received in this time the goods will be re-offered for sale.

There are limited quantities of some items and we can't hold them indefinitely. Goods will not be despatched until payment has been received.

PLEASE NOTE: Payment has NOT been received if your order is listed as PENDING, once payment has gone through the order staus will change to PROCESSING. If you experience problems please contact us during office hours and we can try entering your details manually.

Online payment is in pounds Sterling. (Overseas customers please note that your credit card company will convert the transaction to your own currency automatically, as the card is processed.)

We accept cards as shown on the web shop (NOTE: we are NOT able to accept non UK issued Maestro cards). We are unable to accept cash, non-UK currency, non-UK cheques, postage stamps or International Reply Coupons for orders placed via the mail order option.

For costs of shipping please see Postage rates document. If your country is not listed we are unable to ship to that country.

Shipment
Shipment will vary, but will generally be within 48 hours of receipt of order, except for orders placed over the weekend which will be despatched on Monday or Tuesday.

Remember certain times of the year may be busier than others. An e-mail will be sent confirming receipt of payment (PROCESSING) and another e-mail when the parcel is despatched to you. You can also check the progress of your order by logging in and checking Your orders on our web shop.

All parcels will generally require a signature on receipt. If you have not received your parcel within 7 working days of despatch (or 28 days if delivery is outside the UK) please contact us.

Tax Charges
The company is not VAT registered, so this means that we do not charge VAT.

Cancellation, returns and replacement
Your statutory rights are not affected by our policy.

Orders may be cancelled at any time PRIOR to payment (once you have received a message stating the order status is PROCESSING payment will have been made). After this time only faulty or damaged goods will be replaced.

Damaged or faulty goods should be returned to us (complete with ALL their original packaging and contents) within 7 days of receipt (please contact us BEFORE returning any item), suitably packaged and with a copy of original Buttercup Miniatures invoice. We will contact you regarding replacement or refund and postage. Any item that is not returned with all its original packaging, will only be replaced at our discretion.

If you cancel an order once payment has been made and providing the item has not been despatched, a charge of 10% of the order value or the postage cost whichever is the greater, will be incurred to cover bank charges and packaging materials.
