Pattern for 1:12th scale Household items

Ability Level: Intermediate

Comprising hot water bottle cover, tea cosy, lap rug, 2 cushions, knitting in basket and instructions for hooked rug.

Materials required:
Hot water bottle cover –
size 21 (0.80 mm) knitting needles, oddments of 1-ply yarn (approx 7 metres/8 yards each colour), 2 small buttons or beads.
Tea Cosy – size 21 (0.80 mm) knitting needles, 12.5 metres/14 yards 1-ply yarn in main and contrast colours.
Lap Rug – size 21 (0.80 mm) knitting needles, oddments of 1-ply yarn, 12.5 metres/14 yards 1-ply yarn for edging.
Plaid Cushion – size 19 (1.00 mm/US size 00000) knitting needles, 12.5 metres/14 yards 1-ply yarn main colour (A), oddments of 1-ply yarn in 2 colours (B and C), small amount of stuffing.
Brown & Cream Cushion- size 19 (1.00 mm/US size 00000) knitting needles, 12.5 metres/14 yards 1-ply yarn main colour (M), small amount of 1-ply yarn in contrast colour (C), small amount of stuffing.
Knitting in Basket – size 21 (0.80 mm) knitting needles, oddments of 1-ply yarn, dressmakers pins (for knitting needles), 1/12th scale basket.
Hooked Rug – crochet hook (any size smaller than 3.5 mm), 5 cm/2-inch lengths of 1-ply yarn or stranded embroidery cotton, small piece double mesh tapestry canvas, 1 cm/¼-inch larger all round than required size for finished rug. Felt for backing

Approximate finished sizes:
Hot water bottle cover –
2 cm/¾-inch long by 1.25 cm/½-inch wide
Tea Cosy – 2 cm/¾-inch high (excluding pom-pom), 2.5 cm/1-inch across base
Lap Rug – 10 cm/4-inches square
Plaid Cushion – 3 cm/1¼-inches square
Brown & Cream Cushion – 2.5 cm/1-inch square
Knitting in Basket – any size required
Hooked Rug – any size required
