St Piran’s Day

People in Cornwall celebrate St Piran’s Day on 5th March each year. There has been some move recently to have this day made a public holiday in Cornwall.

St Piran’s Day was originally a day celebrated by the tin miners and was a holiday for them, in recent years this has become observed throughout Cornwall once more. More information can be found on St Piran’s Day here.
