To increase in a purl stitch in the middle of a row, insert needle in stitch as normal:
Take the yarn around the needle and work the purl stitch, DO NOT slide the old stitch off the needle:
Insert the working needle into the back of the original stitch and bring needle to front of work as shown below:
Take yarn round needle and complete the second purl stitch:
Slide the old stitch off the needle to complete the increase:
