One pair size 3.00 mm/US size 2½, 4-ply/fingering yarn – hat or cowl 10 metres main colour, plus 4 metres contrast colour
Approximate finished sizes
Cowl – 5 cm wide by 4 cm high. Hat – 5 cm wide by 6 cm with brim turned down
Gauge – worked over stocking stitch: 3 rows and 4 sts = 1 cm
