As from today (1st June 2015) Ravelry will handle all EU VAT requirements for pattern sellers using Ravelry as a sales platform.
This means that any EU customer purchasing a pattern for sale via these blog pages from today will NO LONGER be re-directed to the LoveKnitting checkout to make payment.
You will of course be able to continue to buy my digital patterns from LoveKnitting directly, via their web site, however all patterns bought directly via LoveKnitting will be placed in the ‘My Downloads’ section of your LoveKnitting account and NOT in your Ravelry Library too if you are a Ravelry member. All purchases made via Ravelry or our blog, will be available to Ravelry members via their Ravelry Library as before.
Prices remain the same for digital patterns, whether patterns are purchased via LoveKnitting or Ravelry, but EU VAT will be added to the price shown on Ravelry or our blog pages if applicable. When the pattern is added to the cart any VAT payable will be clearly shown on the cart prices so you will know what you are paying before you reach the checkout. Digital patterns on the LoveKnitting web site will continue to show VAT inclusive prices.
Hopefully once the system is running smoothly, we will be able to reintroduce special offers on our digital patterns.

Printed paper pattern price increase
As we announced in our newsletter some time ago all new patterns are only being released in digital format via Ravelry or LoveKnitting. The reason for this is that the increasing costs of ink and paper made it too costly to sell patterns in a paper format.
The increasing popularity of digital format patterns has further reduced the demand for our existing paper patterns.
Given this situation we unfortunately have to announce an increase in our printed paper patterns offered for sale on our web shop by £ 1.00 per pattern with effect from 1st June 2015.
To ensure you receive the latest version of our printed paper patterns, all our paper patterns are printed for each order, so we do not therefore carry stocks of pre-printed patterns.
