New full size patterns for coasters or doilies in EITHER square or round shapes. Two sizes are given in each pattern.
Pattern is written using UK crochet terms.
Pattern to make a ruffled coaster or small ruffled doily, choose from square, round or both patterns.
This can be made in one colour or a main colour with contrast colour on the last round. The centre is fairly plain as this is usually covered.
Ability Level: Intermediate
Materials required:
Coaster – 50-75 metres No 30 crochet cotton; 0.75 mm crochet hook
Doily – 60-90 metres No 10 or No 12 crochet cotton, 1.50 mm crochet hook
Gauge
Coaster- Rounds 1-3 = ¾-inch/2 cm approx
Doily – Rounds 1-3 = 1-inch/2.5 cm approx
Approximate finished sizes (laid flat)
Coaster –3½-inches/9 cm across
Doily – 6-inches/15 cm across
