This project is not suitable for a very first project in miniature knitting, but will suit an experienced beginner to Intermediate knitter.
Materials required:
1:12th scale Man’s sweater – one pair of size 19 (1.00 mm/US size 00000) knitting needles, 50 metres/55 yards 1-ply yarn in main colour (M), 5 metres/6 yards contrast colour A, 12 metres/13 yards contrast colour B, 3 stitch holders.
1:6th scale Mans sweater – one pair of size 14 (2.00 mm/US size 0) knitting needles, 70 metres/76 yards 4-ply yarn in main colour (M), 7 metres/8 yards contrast colour A, 13 metres/14 Yards contrast colour B, 3 stitch holders.
Finished sizes:
1:12th scale Man’s sweater – To fit a 5½ to 6-inch/14-15 cm tall dolls house doll – approx 2½-inches/6 cm tall by 1¾-inches/4 cm wide
1:6th scale Mans sweater – To fit a 12½ to 13-inch/32-35 cm tall Ken (Barbie)/Action Man doll
Gauge:
1:12th scale Mans sweater – Gauge is not important as dolls house dolls vary greatly in size
1:6th scale Mans sweater – 9 sts and 12 rows = 1-inch/2.5cm
