All too quickly for most youngsters the summer holidays end and it’s back to school. This annual event in early September is a stressful time for many. Children would like to continue the fun of summer, mothers need to make sure all things are ready, including uniforms and teachers are prepared for the new academic year ahead.
Historically the long summer break was to allow farm workers time for the harvest and often all family members would be conscripted in for this. Nowadays it’s most often time for the family holiday.
The first morning back at school sees children looking for new classes or teachers, catching up with news from friends and bringing the new starters into the fold. Children hope to be seated near a friend at their new desk.
