It was touching 40°C outside. The 30 feet by 10 feet room was piled head high with boxes. The house move had happened in July!
Unfortunately mid July is normally the time when the Advent Calendar starts to takes shape in general outline, see this post for more details of the process. This year was going to have to be different. By mid September some boxes were unpacked, but the majority were hidden away out of sight to be dealt with later.
So it was that the concept for this year’s Advent Calendar eventually began to take shape. To answer the question in the title; yes there will. However, the lost months will mean that this year it will be more of a calendar-lite project. There will still be the 24 parts published each day on our blog, but as the project is by necessity less complex, each day will be less demanding than in recent years.
At present the aim is to provide a pattern, shown knitted up in 1:6th scale with notes on how to adapt to 1:12th scale (simply a change of needle size and yarn thickness). There will be the usual pattern offers each day as well.
Further details will be published in the coming weeks with, as usual, a materials list in good time before the calendar begins.
