For many years June has been the month of choice to get married. This is thought to have origins in the past when the annual bath was taken during May, so the bride went to her new husband still smelling sweet.
However it is much more likely to be a ‘tradition’ invented by the Victorians, as for many years prior to this Easter was considered the time to get married. (More on Easter marriages at a later date)
We have bridal patterns for both miniature knitting and miniature crochet. We also have other accessories such as miniature boxes of confetti. All are available from our web shop. The bridal gown also looks lovely knitted up in pastel colours for bridesmaids/matrons of honour.
