In the United Kingdom we celebrate Father’s Day in June. This year it will be on Sunday 17th June.

This celebration does not have religious roots like Mothering Sunday, but was invented as a special day in the early 20th Century. It came about as a complement to Mother’s Day (which is also still called Mothering Sunday by many) and was meant to celebrate the role Fathers started to play in the family, as work and home life became more balanced.

Why not celebrate Father’s Day in your dolls house too, we have many miniature items on our web shop suitable for a dolls house Fathers interests from football to fishing! Even the fish he can claim that he caught!
