Materials required for a bedspread to fit a double size bed: one pair of size 17 UK/1.40 mm knitting needles, 150 metres 1-ply cotton yarn (size 20 crochet cotton may be substituted, but will give a slightly thicker bedspread). If you wish to make this in other sizes please see notes in pattern.
Finished size of bedspread shown in photos: approximately 25 cm/10-inches square after blocking.
Top panel – 15 cm x 18.75 cm/6-inches x 7½-inches.
Border – 4 cm/1½-inches deep.
Tension/gauge: Each pattern repeat = 2 cm/¾-inch – on border over 16 rows or top panel over 10 sts
